By using College Tools ("the Add-on"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Add-on.

2. Description of Service

College Tools is a free Google Sheets add-on that:

- Fetches college data from the College Scorecard API

- Helps track college applications and related information

- Provides tools for organizing college selection data

3. Use Requirements

To use College Tools, you need:

- A Google account

- A Google Sheets spreadsheet

- A College Scorecard API key (free from api.data.gov)

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

- Provide your own College Scorecard API key

- Use the Add-on in compliance with Google's Terms of Service

- Not use the Add-on for any illegal or unauthorized purpose

- Not attempt to reverse engineer or harm the Add-on

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use College Tools for:

- Scraping or mass downloading college data

- Using the tool for commercial purposes without permission

- Attempting to overload the College Scorecard API

- Any activity that violates applicable laws or regulations

- Sharing or selling access to the tool without authorization

6. Intellectual Property

- College Tools source code is available for review

- College data comes from the U.S. Department of Education

- You retain ownership of your spreadsheet data

7. Disclaimers

THE ADD-ON IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

- Accuracy of college data (provided by College Scorecard API)

- Fitness for college selection decisions

- Uninterrupted or error-free operation

8. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

- Direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

- Loss of data or profits

- College application outcomes or decisions

9. College Data Accuracy

- College data is provided by the U.S. Department of Education via College Scorecard API

- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data

- Always verify important information directly with colleges

10. No Professional Advice

College Tools does not provide:

- Professional college counseling

- Financial aid advice

- Admissions consulting

- Educational planning services

11. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to:

- Modify or discontinue the Add-on at any time

- Update these Terms of Service

- Change features or functionality

12. Privacy

Your use of College Tools is subject to our Privacy Policy. Please review it for information about how we handle data.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Add-on at any time by:

- Removing it from your Google Sheets

- Deleting your spreadsheet
